Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to Street2School Guardian ("the Platform"), operated by AHYEL ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Platform, including all associated web and mobile applications. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

Definitions

Platform: Street2School Guardian application and services

AHYEL: The platform provider and operator

Organisation: Any NGO, government body, school network, or institution using the Platform

User: Any authorised individual accessing the Platform (e.g., admins, mentors)

Data: Information entered into or generated by the Platform

Platform Role & Responsibilities

Street2School Guardian operates as a multi-tenant platform:

  • Each Organisation is responsible for its own data and use of the Platform
  • AHYEL provides the infrastructure, tools, and services

Key Principle

AHYEL does not control or manage detailed organisational data and does not access identifiable student-level information, except where strictly required for system operation or legal compliance.

Eligibility & Account Registration

To use the Platform:

  • You must be authorised by an Organisation or approved by AHYEL
  • You must provide accurate and complete information

Organisations may register via self-registration (subject to approval) or direct onboarding by AHYEL. AHYEL reserves the right to approve or reject registration requests and request additional verification documents.

User Accounts & Security

Users are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials
Ensuring authorised use of their accounts
Reporting any unauthorised access

AHYEL is not liable for loss resulting from compromised credentials due to user negligence.

Acceptable Use

Users and Organisations agree NOT to:

Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
Upload false or misleading data
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other organisations' data
Interfere with platform functionality or security

The Platform must be used solely for educational support, attendance tracking, and related activities.

Data Ownership & Responsibility

A. Organisation Data Ownership

  • Organisations retain ownership and control of their data
  • Organisations are responsible for data accuracy, legal compliance, and access control

B. AHYEL Data Access

  • AHYEL does not access identifiable student data
  • AHYEL may process aggregated and anonymised data and system usage data
  • This is used for platform improvement and non-identifiable reporting insights

Data Privacy & Protection

Use of the Platform is subject to the Privacy Policy. Organisations must:

Ensure lawful collection and use of data
Obtain required consents
Protect user and student privacy

Platform Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee continuous uptime or error-free operation. AHYEL may perform maintenance, update or modify features, and temporarily suspend services if necessary.

AI & Automated Features

The Platform may include AI-powered features to provide insights and suggest actions.

Important

  • AI outputs are advisory only
  • No automated decisions are made affecting individuals
  • Users must exercise independent judgment

Third-Party Services

The Platform may rely on third-party services (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics). AHYEL is not responsible for failures or disruptions caused by third-party providers beyond our control.

Suspension & Termination

AHYEL may suspend or terminate access if:

Terms are violated
Fraud or misuse is suspected
Legal or regulatory requirements arise

Organisations may also request account closure at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AHYEL is not liable for:

Indirect or consequential damages
Data loss caused by user actions
Decisions made based on Platform data or insights

The Platform is provided "as is".

Indemnification

Organisations agree to indemnify and hold AHYEL harmless against:

Claims arising from misuse of the Platform
Violations of applicable laws
Improper handling of data

Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, software, and features, is owned by AHYEL. Users are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the Platform. Users may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Platform.

Changes to Terms

AHYEL may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on the Platform and effective upon publication. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
